I lived abroad in South America and learned what I know of Spanish from listening and using it in my daily life. When I came home, I needed some formal Spanish instruction to fill in all the areas that I did not know. The one-on-one setup has worked out great, and the curriculum is fit to what I need to learn. My instructor helps me choose what lesson we should do next, and she makes sure to speak to me as much as possible in Spanish. I would highly recommend tutoring either in group or one-on-one, especially if you have specific goals for why you are wanting to learn. My tutor allows me to make the sessions my own and at my own pace.
I took 16 hours and completed level i—white belt. it was a very good experience. My tutor Juana Rosa was excellent. She was very patient but also encouraging. I learned a great deal in a short time. I am excited to continue learning and I wish I lived where this service was available. I was only in New York for a month and now I am moving home.
Carolina is an excellent instructor. She’s patient, organized, smart and has a terrific sense of humor. She has a special talent for breaking down grammatical concepts and making them very understandable - all in Spanish. I recommend her without reservation.
My classes with Spanish Blackbelt have improved my Spanish significantly. My instructor tailors our classes to my “areas for improvement” and is thorough, creative and positive. I would recommend this program to beginners as well as more advanced students.
I have really learned a lot and very quickly in my opinion. I am enjoying my experience and have learned to communicate much better than when attending traditional high school and college level Spanish courses.
I am currently in my 3rd week of classes which I take twice a week with Spanish Black belt. I took Spanish throughout high school and college, and without practice over the past 10 years I did not retain it. I purchased Rosetta stone about 2 years ago to start studying it and that helped to get me learning the basics again but since the entire program is in Spanish and there is no one to ask questions after a certain point I realized I needed additional help. I started taking Berlitz Spanish classes which is sponsored by my job but much of the work is still on your own online and the pace was not that great which became very frustrating. You also don’t get to practice hands on much because most of the work is done online and alone. So in searching for a better way to learn Spanish I found spanishblackbelt online. It is not paid for by my job but it defiantly is worth the investment. I am becoming much more confident in speaking Spanish and realizing that I know more than I thought because I can now practice with my instructor. In three weeks I can say I see much improvement with my Spanish speaking and much of the things I did not understand in the past are being clarified with the one on one learning environment. As far as the customer service I was also happy that I was able to restructure my days in order to learn at a pace that was more comfortable for me. I thought that was great for the school to work with me even after the class started. I will recommend this program to others.
